Police in the North have named the 18-year-old man who died after a car crash on Friday.

He was David Heaslip from Ballymiscaw in Hollywood, Co Down and was the fourth person to be killed on the North's roads in two days.

David Heaslip died in hospital last night after suffering serious injuries in a crash on the Belmont road in Belfast on Friday

Two sisters, aged four and five, are battling for life after the car they were in hit a tree in the north of the city earlier on Friday.

Their father and eight-year-old sister were killed in the crash on the Ballyhill Road.

Yesterday, a 15-year-old boy died after being struck by a car in Downpatrick.

And a 10-year-old boy is in a critical condition after he was injured in a road accident in Co Armagh earlier this afternoon.

The incident, which involved two cars, happened on the Lough road in Lurgan.

One man has been arrested and is helping police with their inquiries
