Archbishop calls for social peace
The Archbishop of Dublin, Diarmuid Martin, will address the issue of "social peace" in his sermon at the Christmas Vigil Mass in Dublin Pro-Cathedral at 10pm tonight.
Archbishop Martin has spoken strongly against the recent gang killings in Dublin, which he feels has caused terrible damage to the local community.
According to the Archbishop: "Social peace requires that crass inequalities be eliminated and that new social forms be constructed."
