Rhonda Paisley settles sex discrimination case against DUP

Ian Paisley's daughter has settled a legal action she mounted against the DUP after being passed over for a job within the party.

Rhonda Paisley had sued for sexual discrimination after she failed to secure the job of policy officer in 2004.

However, the two sides issued a joint statement today before the case could get to court saying that the party accepted its recruitment procedures were deficient.

The statement said the DUP regretted the way it handled the issue, was sorry for any distress caused and wished Ms Paisley every success in her future pursuits.
