Representatives of Russian agency AGD Shipping are due in Dublin this morning in a bid to have the Merchant Brilliant released.

The ship was stopped on Friday last as it attempted to leave Dublin Port.

The International Transport Federation stopped the vessel from leaving, as it believes the labour agency owes the crew around €150,000 in pay arrears.

A High Court order was obtained to detain the ship.

A meeting between the ITF and the agency will take place this morning in the hope of coming to an agreement to get the order lifted.

The ITF says the vessel will not be released until the crew has been paid.
