Worker dies as trench collapses on Cork building site

Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority have mounted separate investigations into a fatal accident on a building site in Co Cork over the weekend.

The victim is understood to have been laying pipes in a 3ft-deep trench in Shanagarry when it collapsed on Saturday morning.
