Man to appear in court over murder of Post Master

A man in his twenties is to appear at a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court this morning, charged in connection with the armed robbery of a post office in the city, and the fatal shooting of a Post Master.

Alan Cunniffe was shot in the stomach while chasing an armed raider in the John's Green area of the city shortly after 12 noon on Friday.
