A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, after a man questioned in connection with the murder of Meg Walsh was released without charge.

Gardaí arrested the man in Waterford City yesterday morning and released him just after 8pm last night.

The body of 35-year-old Meg Walshe was recovered from the River Suir in Waterford City on October 15, two weeks after she was reported missing by work colleagues.

A post-mortem revealed she had died from trauma injuries to her head and upper body.
