Public advised to avoid A&E at St Vincent's Hospital

People are being advised to stay away from the Emergency Department at St Vincent's Hospital after eighteen cases of the 'winter vomiting virus' were detected.

In a statement issued this afternoon, management at the hospital said that all necessary precautions had been taken to curtail the spread of the virus.

However, they are urging people to only come to the A&E Department if necessary.
