Wet and windy conditions set to continue through weekend

Forecasters say the wet and windy conditions affecting most parts of the country are set to continue through the weekend.

Gusts of up to 120km/h are forecast for today, accompanied by often heavy showers of rain.

The south of the country will be worst affected, but no area will escape the storms.

Met Éireann says the high winds could inflict further damage on top of that caused by last weekend's storm.
