Greens dismiss 'status quo' Budget

The Green Party has said Minister for Finance Brian Cowen has delivered nothing new on energy, education, health or the environment.

Green Party environment spokesperson Ciarán Cuffe said: "This is not a green Budget. Excluding the Rural Environment Protection Scheme, less than €300m of new money has been allocated to environmental measures, and over 90% of this will go on buying carbon credits.
