Study: Quarter of prisoners re-offend within a year

A new study has reportedly found that more than a quarter of prisoners released from Irish jails find themselves back behind bars within a year.

The study of prisoner re-offending rates was carried out by experts at UCD and analysed almost 20,000 inmates released over a four-year period.
