Body found in search for woman who fell off Galway bridge

Rescuers searching for a woman seen falling from a bridge in Galway city this morning have recovered a body at Ballyloughan Beach in Renmore.

The search was mounted when a taxi driver reported seeing a woman falling off O'Brien's Bridge shortly before 2am.

The body found in Renmore has yet to be identified and the scene of the discovery has been preserved pending technical examination.
