Search mounted for woman seen falling from Galway bridge

A full-scale search has been launched in Galway city after a woman was seen falling from O'Brien's Bridge in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident shortly before 2am, when a taxi-driver saw the woman fall from the bridge.

Galway Lifeboat searched the river during the night and helicopters from Shannon are arriving to assist in the operation today.
