One-in-two people want extra budget money spent on health
Over half of the population want the Minister for Finance to spend extra money on health and education in next weeks Budget, according to a new TNS/MRBI poll published in today’s Irish Times.
Only 6% of people think there should be a reduction in the top rate of income tax.
In the poll, 16% of people hope Brian Cowen will cut stamp duty to help first-time buyers.
While another14% of people think welfare payments should be allocated extra funds.
