Drowning threat to pensioner in house raid
Intruders threatened to drown an 88-year-old woman during a robbery at her home in the North, police said today.
The two men threatened to submerge the victim after running water in her kitchen and covered her head with a towel during the frightening ordeal at her home on the Armagh Road in Keady, Co Armagh, last night.
They forced their way past her when she answered the front door at around 7.15pm, ransacked her house and escaped with a small sum of cash.
She was left badly shocked by the incident, the fifth robbery of a pensioner in the North in recent days.
