State Pathologist to give evidence at Wheelock inquest

The State Pathologist is due to give evidence at the inquest of a young Dublin man who died after apparently trying to hang himself in a police cell last year.

Twenty-year-old Terence Wheelock, from Summerhill, was taken to Store Street Garda Station following his arrest on suspicion of car theft on June 2, 2005.

One of the three men arrested with him is also expected to appear before the Dublin Coroner's Court this morning.

Mr Wheelock's brother Laurence has said that the family believes Terence was assaulted while in Garda custody.
