The Curragh hosts trial run of response to WMD attack

A trial run of the emergency services' response to a chemical, biological or nuclear attack is taking place in Co Kildare today.

The simulation is designed to test and improve coordination and communications between various agencies in dealing with emergencies and potential accidents.

The Gardaí, Kildare County Council, the Fire Service, the Health Service Executive and the Defence Forces are all taking part in the event, which is being staged at the Curragh.
