The Oireachtas committee set up to investigate alleged misconduct by Judge Brian Curtin is meeting in private session at Leinster House today.

The Tralee-based Circuit Court judge was acquitted in 2004 on charges of possessing child pornography when it emerged that a search warrant used to search his residence had expired.

Mr Curtin's computer has since been examined by technical experts and its contents will form part of the Oireachtas investigation.
