Search continues for missing Dundalk man

Civilian divers from Dundalk Sub Aqua Club have joined the search for a Co Louth fisherman who is missing off the Waterford coast.

Civilian divers from Dundalk Sub Aqua Club have joined the search for a Co Louth fisherman who is missing off the Waterford coast.

Sixty-two-year-old Paddy McCabe from Dundalk, who is a father of four, fell overboard on Wednesday night.

He was one of three men fishing for shellfish near Dunmore East.

Ger Hegarty from the Irish Coastguard Unit said today’s search is being concentrated around the areas where Mr McCabe fell overboard

Navy divers were on the scene at 10am today, while the coastal search is being carried out by the Dunmore East Coast Guard unit, along with the friends and family of Mr McCabe.

Also, the area is now being covered by the coastguard rescue helicopter from Waterford.
