Fisherman sceptical about warnings of wholesale collapse

Irish fishermen say they are sceptical about a new study predicting a wholesale collapse of the industry if stronger action is not taken to prevent declining stocks.

The Canadian research has warned that most commercial species could effectively become extinct by 2048 due to over-fishing, pollution, habitat destruction and climate change.
