PDs seek body to ensure uniformity in planning decisions

The Progressive Democrats are seeking the establishment of an independent body to oversee the planning system and ensure uniformity across the country.

The party says a national planning monitoring committee should be set up to act as a go-between for local planners and the Minister for the Environment, in order to ensure Government guidelines are being followed.
