Incendiary devices could have started B&Q Fire

An incendiary device may have started a fire at a B&Q outlet in the North in a repeat of a dissident republican attack earlier this year.

Police have appealed for keyholders in the Riverside Retail Park in Coleraine to check their premises after the blaze was discovered in the carpet section of the store at around 10.30 last night.

Extensive fire and water damage was caused in an incident similar to one which destroyed commercial premises in Newry and was later claimed by renegade republicans.
