150 Cork jobs at risk over delayed Roches/M&S transfer

Up to 150 workers in Cork have claimed that their jobs are at risk if the transfer of the Roches Stores outlet in Wilton Centre to Marks & Spencers is delayed any longer.

The store has been closed for the past three weeks, while negotiations continue between the landlord and the two retailers.

Union Representative John Douglas claims the landlord is responsible for stalling the deal by refusing to allow the transfer.
