Man to appear before court in connection with Ryan murder

A man is to appear in court in Limerick this afternoon charged in connection with the murder of Frankie Ryan.

The twenty-one year-old was shot dead near his home in Delmerge Park a week ago.

It's believed he and another man were sitting in a parked car in the Pineview Gardens estate when a motorcycle pulled up and opened fire.

An 18 year-old man was arrested last Monday, and is to appear at Limerick District Court this lunchtime charged in connection with the murder.

Meanwhile, a forty-three year-old man is to appear at Bruff District in County Limerick in connection with the death of a Brazilian man in Charleville, County Cork.

Alberto Doprado Oliveria was found dead in a flat in the town on Thursday night after being stabbed.
