Man due in court over Limerick shooting
A man is to appear before Limerick District Court today in connection with a shooting incident on Tuesday.
The man, 20, was arrested after a drive-by shooting in the village of Ballyneety.
He was detained at Roxboro Road garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
A number of shots were fired at about 12.10pm at a man in a van as he drove along the R512, the Limerick to Bruff road.
No one was hurt, but it is feared the shooting was part of the increasingly bitter and bloody feud between rival crime gangs in the city.
