Fisherman drowns after boat capsizes off Cork coast

A shrimp fisherman has drowned after his trawler capsized off the coast of Castletownbere in Co Cork this morning.

Two men, both believed to be local, were on board the vessel when it capsized three miles from shore at around 10.30am.

One of them managed to make it to shore and report the incident.

However, the body of the other crew member was recovered by the Castletownbere lifeboat a short time later.
