McDowell rubbishes proposed FG-Labour coalition
Progressive Democrats leader Michael McDowell has again rubbished the idea of Fine Gael and the Labour Party forming an alternative to the current Government.
Last week, Mr McDowell launched one of his trademark attacks on the proposed Fine Gael-Labour coalition after being elected unopposed as leader of the PDs.
Speaking as his party gathers for its pre-Dáil policy meeting in Dublin today, he suggested again that such an alliance would be a disaster for the country.
"I'm asking (voters) to use their judgement on whether Pat Rabbitte and Enda Kenny, supported by Trevor Sargent and a rag-bag of far-left independents, whether that's a recipe for good and stable government," he said.
