Five men in court following cocaine seizure
Five men have appeared before Dublin District Court charged with the possession and supply of cocaine in north Co Dublin.
The gang were arrested on Thursday afternoon when gardaí swooped on a car and a truck near Rush and Lusk train station.
The accused, which includes two men from Dublin, one man from Liverpool and two men from Manchester, are due back in court again next Thursday.
Two of the defendants made no application for bail and were remanded in custody. The three others were remanded in custody with consent to bail.
Eight kilos of cocaine and a large quantity of cash in euros and Sterling were recovered during the raid. Gardaí estimate the seizure may have potential street value of €500,00.
