SF: Under-represented Dublin West suits FF

Sinn Féin's Fingal Councillor Felix Gallagher has slammed this weeks decision by Dick Roche not to establish a constituency commission to look at his constituency of Dublin West as "purely self-serving".

Mr Gallagher said: "The dogs in the street know that Dublin West is grossly under-represented when it comes to Dáil seats.

"The decision by Dick Roche not to establish a constituency commission this week based on advice from the Government appointed Attorney General Rory Brady, is all about what's good for Fianna Fáil not about the rights and entitlements of my constituents.

"It is purely self-serving and it is vintage Fianna Fáil. One should ask oneself if Fianna Fáil thought they could win a second seat in Dublin West, would the same decision have been made? I think not", said Mr Gallagher.
