Man released after attempt to board plane with handgun

A man who was was being questioned about trying to board a plane with a handgun has been released without charge from garda custody.

The man, who is in his mid 20s, was booked on a flight from Dublin to Egypt yesterday afternoon when the weapon was found in his luggage.
