Death crash driver named

Gardaí have today named the man who died in a car crash in Cootehill, Co Cavan, on Monday.

Fathy Ghrabeel, 36, from Main Street, Cavan Town, was killed when his car went out of control and hit a tree at Tullyvin.

His was originally from Egypt.

A total of 257 people have so far been killed on Irish roads this year – 10 more than in the same period last year.
