Gardaí name victim of amusement park tragedy

Gardaí have named the man who was killed in a tragic accident at an amusement park in Co Waterford last night.

22-year-old Gavin Mason from Kilmore Close in Artane on Dublin's northside fell off a ghost-train and was hit by an oncoming one at the fairground in Tramore.

He was rushed to Waterford Regional Hospital but died later from his injuries. It is understood Mr Mason was on holiday in the area at the time.

Gardaí and officials from Waterford County Council are investigating the accident.
