Postman held up at gunpoint in Co Antrim

A postman has been held up at gunpoint by a gang of armed robbers in the North.

Two raiders, one of them armed with a shotgun, rammed the Royal Mail van near Crumlin in Co Antrim before escaping with a quantity of post.

The van driver was taken to hospital after the incident, which happened at around 9am.

The car used by the raiders was later found burned out near Aldergrove.
