Anger at disparity between TDs' wages and students' grants

The Government was today accused of presiding over a feast and famine in the difference between a TD’s salary and maintenance grants.

According to the Union of Students in Ireland, the average weekly earnings for a Dáil politician, including expenses and allowances, is €2,200.
