Dermot Ahern welcomes UN resolution on Middle East

The Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern has welcomed the adoption of the resolution by the UN Security Council.

He said that it has taken more time and many more casualties than he had hoped to reach this stage, but added that it is important that an international consensus has been reached on how to resolve the crisis.
