Large crowd expected at funeral of Kilkenny businessman

A large attendance is expected today at the funeral of a well-known Kilkenny businessman who died in a light aircraft crash on Monday.

Martin Mulhall, who was in his late 70s, died when his glider overshot a runway outside the city on Monday.

Mr Mulhall ran a restaurant and a bakery in Killkenny and had a number of other business interests in the city.

He is due to be laid to rest in Foulkstown Cemetery following requiem mass in St Patricks Church this morning.
