Tourist in hospital after being swept to sea

A Swiss tourist who was swept out to sea while rock fishing in Co Mayo is recovering in hospital.

A Swiss tourist who was swept out to sea while rock fishing in Co Mayo is recovering in hospital.

The man was fishing with two friends at Annagh Head near Belmullet when the freak wave struck.

Local rescue services were quickly on the scene, and he was airlifted to Sligo General Hospital.
