Sixty Royal Irish Regiment soldiers are being sent to Afghanistan as part of military reinforcements, it was announced today.

Sixty Royal Irish Regiment soldiers are being sent to Afghanistan as part of military reinforcements, it was announced today.

The troops will leave Fort George, Inverness, tomorrow and travel to the Helmand province to support the Parachute Regiment in the 16 Air Assault Brigade.
