Two Lebanese children have been reunited with their father in Ireland after being evacuated from their homeland amid ongoing Israeli bombardment.

Seven-year-old Ali Zebads and his five-year-old sister Gadir had been living with their grandmother in the Lebanese city of Tyre.

Their father, Manir, is a refugee from Sierra Leone who has been living in Kilkenny for the past three years.

He was reunited with his two children at Dublin Airport this morning and said he planned to take them to Kilkenny and apply for asylum on their behalf.
