Hain: No nuclear plants in North
The British government has no plans to build any nuclear power stations in the North, according to Northern Secretary Peter Hain.
An official review due to be published in London today is expected to recommend the construction of six new nuclear plants to meet Britain's future energy needs.
However, they are all expected to be built in England, Scotland and Wales.
Mr Hain says renewable energy resources will be the way ahead in the North, partly because of an agreement already reached with the Irish Government.
