One of the country's largest refugee reception centres could be turned into a hospital for elderly patients.

It is reported that the Tánaiste and Minister for Health Mary Harney is in discussions with the Minister for Justice Michael McDowell over the use of the Baleskin Centre in Finglas, in north Dublin.
