Aer Lingus sell-off to be completed by October

The long-awaited sell-off of a chunk of Aer Lingus should be completed by the end of September with the public invited to buy in, it was confirmed today.

Outlining the flotation to the Dáil, Minister for Transport Martin Cullen said it would give the carrier the financial muscle to compete internationally in an industry which has seen a number of operators go to the wall in recent years.
