Family escapes injury in petrol bomb attack on Athlone home

Gardaí in Co Westmeath are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a family home in Athlone in the early hours of this morning.

Two home-made devices were thrown at the house in the Ashdale estate while a couple and their eight young children were inside.
