Chinese man attacked by gang in Dublin park

A Chinese national is recovering in hospital today after he was attacked in Dublin’s Fairview Park.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident after the injured man was rushed to the Mater Hospital last night.

It is understood the victim, who is in his early 20s, was walking in the park in north Dublin when he was attacked by a gang just before 10pm.

He was found a short time later by a passer-by who raised the alarm.

“His injuries are not life-threatening,” said a Garda spokesman. “Officers interviewed him and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
