Meath: Man dies in crash with tree

A man in his 30s has died after crashing into a tree on the Dunderry to Athboy road in Co Meath early this morning.

The accident happened in the Meadstown area shortly before 1am.

The victim, who was from the area, was taken to hospital in Navan, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardaí are withholding his name until all next of kin are informed.
