Further tests needed on body found in Mayo

Further tests are to be carried out on the body of a man discovered in Co Mayo.

Locals found the man's remains at the back of an empty house in Saleen, near Castlebar.

Gardaí said they were treating the discovery as suspicious but the results of a post mortem examination carried out this morning were inconclusive.

It is thought that the man's remains may have been out in the elements for some time. The body is understood to be badly decayed.
