Work is due to get underway today on the new Dromad and Roosky bypass in Co Roscommon.

The new 10km stretch of the N4 will link the Drumsna bypass to the Longford town bypass and is due to be completed by 2008.

Junior Transport Minister Pat 'the Cope' Gallagher will turn the first sod later today.
