Teenager dies in accident at Sligo construction site

A 17-year-old youth has died following an accident on a construction site in Co Sligo yesterday morning.

The teenager, who was from the Culleens area, suffered serious injuries when a concrete pipe fell on top of him after it rolled off a lorry.

He was taken to hospital in Sligo, where he died later from his injuries.

The dead youth was a fifth-year student at the Convent of Jesus and Mary in Enniscrone.
