Farmers have welcomed the Irish Government's opposition to further EU concessions on agriculture during upcoming world trade talks.

Agriculture Minister Mary Coughlan has said she is vehemently opposed to any concessions that would go beyond the reform of the EU Common Agriculture Policy agreed a number of years ago.
