Study uncovers widespread bullying in primary schools

A new study has reportedly uncovered shocking levels of bullying among primary school pupils.

Reports this morning said the study by the Anti-Bullying Centre at Dublin's Trinity College found that almost one-quarter of girls and one-third of boys had been bullied in the past three months.

The figures are based on a questionnaire completed by around 2,300 pupils in 33 different schools, most of them based outside Dublin

Around 10% of respondents reportedly said they had suffered bullying via text message.
